looking good ... not?

I might be ecstatic lately, but things do bounce down.
I was mentally pissed off awhile ago, but it usually happens during Sundays, so I don't blame anyone on that. Except myself.

Yesterday was B.O.R.I.N.G.! I spent the whole day not studying (hay, when will i ever?) but reading Rosie Dunne by Cecelia Ahern (below)

So far I'm half way through reading non stop emails, chat, letters of Rosie to Alex & vice versa and also the other characters. Which is cool 'cause I like snooping on people's lives :>

Yeah and anyways after that we went to Jean's house for a party that I just spent binge eating. (wala talaga kwenta magdiet kapag summer. FACT.) Nah, kidding, the food was yum naman. Then we rushed up and I kept reading, socialized with my elderly cousins, played Wii's golf and Dance Dance Revo, where we all smelled my cousin's stinky feet! Hahaha :>

Today's not much of a good day. I haven't even put entries (or I mean, DESIGNED my entries) in my random notebook yet. I guess I'm just not in the mood. Not a productive morning. I just kept ranting on how lazy I am to go to the temple (YES, It's so nakakatamad! Super!) and I even said, "If I'm not mistaken I only have thirteen nights left to sleep late and fourteen days to wake up late!" so yeah, OA me. LOL.

Awhile ago we went to the temple and sweated and it rained so it was horrible. And the CR was creepy. Who knows :|

Okay, let's get straight to the point. Some short randomness only 'cause I gotta run.

There's just something about looking good that makes me very... eager to look good. But not in a over-the-top manner. Just picking a decent outfit for me is hard. I have no idea why. Plus, I'm very critical about myself so I can't just throw a plain top and jeans and pull it off.

Actually, sometimes I have no idea what I wear, really.

Anyways I have to cut short. Gotta go to Shang! Yes, again.
At least, I'll have a productive-ish day. :))

old friendships

I miss my neighbors. My best friends, to be exact.
It's just that, maybe we're all busy? With our own lives.
Yes, kinda.

We're growing up already, and it's like those childhood memories are slowly fading away.
Hopefully someday we'll be able to catch up on each other. :)

Thank you for giving me awesome summers when I was young.

xo, abi

Well I did a bit of shrimp flavored chips which tasted bland. BLAND.

I want Kooltwist! Last time I ate them? LAST SUMMER. with Steffi.
Last summer was so long ago. And I don't even contact Steffi anymore. See?

ecstatic!

I am feeling really happy right now, like things are getting so much better.

Yayness! I noticed. I keep laughing, smiling, I rarely fake a smile ('cause all of it IS real), I don't listen to emo songs, I make myself busy doing things I like...

I hope this keeps up. I just hope.

Goodbye yesterdays! Yes, you were my yesterday.
I just noticed, sorry, but, everything is so much better without you.
EVERYTHING about me is changing.

I've never been this happy so far in my own existence. :)
Sometimes I never realize what the hell is going on with me lol.

Oh, BTW, my "lost" mugshot which I edited.
Trust me, I look like a freak in the picture.

revamp n redone.

I know, i know.
I love making over my site. Maybe every month?

But I reckon I still will, as school's fast appraoching :>
Because, well, new look, new concept.

Imagine.
wowness.
:>

what dyou guys think?

summer loves & raves :)

Last year I wrote an entry about a "Secret Love" (Hana Kimi) and a "Forbidden Love" (Twilight). Which were two things I was addicted to during that time. (FYI, I hated summer after 2nd yr. it simply SUCKED.)
Here's the link if you're interested to read: Two Kinds of LOVE

But now, I've replaced them :> Nyahahaha >:)) to something so much better that after reading & watching these ... stuffs I still get the hang of it. :)

1. Boys Over Flowers (kkobotda namja)

Who doesn't love this series? :)

Funny and optimistic protagonist, Geum Jan Di (fighting!) accidentally gets a scholarship to the prestigious Shinhwa High by saving a guy who wanted to commit suicide because of the F4 RED CARD. So yeah, and then Jan Di meets Ji Hoo, and falls for him (ahem, soulmate) 'cause he keeps saving her from Gu Jun Pyo's attempts of letting Jan Di surrender from his terrible tactics. And then he develops feelings for Jan Di. Wow, the more you hate , the more you definitely love. :>

In the end, well, go watch it and find out. There are a lot of plot twists and turns.

I give this a five stars ★★★★★ :)

Review:
(ahem, so professional-much?)
I keep watching this even if I finished it already by the 2nd week of April.
'Cause it's a nice mix of romance & comedy with a light drama. Although Jan Di is not that pretty, I kind of liked it that way 'cause people are soooo stereotypical these days and it kind of breaks that thought about people. Of course, how can I not forget the good-looking F4 to the point that they are even more beautiful than me x) lolness. I like Kim Bum :) Yay :) and Ga Eul :) Yay :)

BTW their OST is really nice, I love all their songs! Preferred ones are: What Should I Do - Ji Sun, Paradise - T-max, Fight The Bad Feeling (Dance ver.) - T-max, 가슴이 어떻게 됐나봐 - A &T, Wish Ur My Love - T-max & J.

2. Can You Keep A Secret?

Emma Corrigan, your typical twenty-something Marketing Assistant at the Panther Corporation, gets in big trouble as she accidentally spills all her random secrets to a stranger (male, to be exact) in a plane. Astonished, she decides to forget about it and move on with her boring, old life. Until she finds out that he is Jack Harper, the CEO of Panther Corporation.

And all hell breaks loose.
Nah, just kidding. Emma's life gets topsy turvy as she tries to keep it steady and get her life into place. But what if all her little secrets get blurted out?

This book will definitely get you going, you won't be thinking twice whether to read it.

Spoiler: GOOD ENDING, but it is BITIN. :<>

I give this a good four-star rating: ★★★★ :)

Why four stars?
I thought it would be another boring Sophie Kinsella book, 'cause I didn't really like the Shopaholic series that much. But I was wrong :) Anyhoo, it's an awesome book :)

Review:
I just finished reading it, actually. I ditched Science for chick lit x) Smart huh?
Thanks to Erika, for forcing me to buy the book at Bestsellers :>

I like the light feeling, not heavy drama (I loathe those, actually) and I come to realize that of all genres of books, I prefer mostly Chick Lit :) a little romance, a little friendship life, work life. It's nice to sneak into a person's head (like what usually happens when one reads a book, since it's in the first-person POV.) and know his/her (preferably her) thoughts.

I also like the novel's simple take on feminism haha. It's kind of funny. And of course the romance thing. Makes me wonder if there's such thing as that.

Although this is chick lit, it's not for young people, like below 15 or something. Contains a little x-rated stuff, which kind of disgusts me but it's only a few.

But the storyline is really cool, I want to read it over & over :D

BTW it's going to be made into a movie, but I'm disappointed because Kate Hudson will be cast as Emma Corrigan. I mean, Emma is not skinny, she weighs 128 lbs.! xD And I'd rather have a not-so-pretty protagonist (ahem, stereotype) against a goodlooking love interest. LOL. If they're both beautiful (like in Twilight) I reckon it makes any sense at all.
=====

Okay, yeah, so go buy a fake DVD or watch BOF at ABS-CBN, 6pm, weekdays.
And go buy a copy of Can You Keep A Secret? by Sophie Kinsella for only P259.

:) :> wth I'm plugging? x)

xo~
P.S. summaries written by yours truly. (c) to me!

5.26.2009

UHOHS.

Apparently my layout was deleted by moi, so I have to find a new layout in blogskins, since, I am out of time to make layouts for myself.

I still have to review Science, Math & English.

And at the moment, my legs are aching. So is my back and my shoulders. Poor me:(

Night! ~

5.24.2009

life after ArtsWork.

Is like a plain canvas. I'm completely drained. lol.
Kidding aside, since yesterday I've been having a terrible headache that goes on and off. Let's just hope it stops, 'cause it sucks! :)

Anyways, since I haven't written anything in my random notebook (it has no name yet), I better write some whatevers here. 'Cause I'm bored. And tomorrow, REALLY, SURELY, HOPEFULLY, HAS TO BE, the day I start continuing my review for Science. I SHOULD. Or else, I'm DEAD. D-E-A-D. I might not get into Ateneo, which will, really, terribly sadden me.

I still want to see that awesome place and buy another shirt :>

Speaking of Ateneo, things have changed since I've gotten there.

Because of ArtsWork, I've been able to...
  • Be more confident in myself. So true. I probably prefer them more than my batchmates. (what??) haha. Kidding. They make my life interesting by all means.
  • Laugh often. Which feels soooo good. Well, yeah, Erika always makes me laugh, so, that works :)
  • Find my style. I can dress WHATEVER I want during the workshop, and it's cool 'cause of our dresscodes :) I will really miss that.
  • Take a lot of pictures. Nuff said. :>
  • Socialize with different kinds of people, well not all, but you know, you talk to everyone, say hi, smile, those stuffs. I don't do that in school. as in wala.
  • Be a part of the SESQUIBATCH of ArtsWork! Yay! :))
I'm still reminiscing the stuffs in ArtsWork. Like I feel it's not over yet. I mean, I never realized how fun it was until it was over, so, thanks so much to the School of Humanities for accepting me :) I mean come on these people are sooo talented and it's an honor to be part of them :> :>

Anyways, yesterday was really awful because:
1. I woke up late, went to my grandrents' house, had a headache. But it became better when I bought a dress and PJs in tutuban :> [yes, I thrift-shop but I do it wisely ;)]
2. I started to degrade myself again, which I have been trying to get over for months. Right now though I'm not anymore. :)

And today was a so-so day because:
1. I didn't buy anything at MOA. But I just wasn't in the mood to shop. I wanted to go to NBS but I wasn't able to (that is by far my favorite store. ever. ever!!)
2. The Science Discovery Center (which we went in for free) was not really interesting. I do like the ambiance. I feel like I'm in HK/Japan. (I WANNA GO :( CURSEYOUSWINEFLU >:( )
3. Still have a headache. Ouchies.

So yeah, tomorrow I will probably/maybe/hopefully/MUST:
1. Review! Study! Currently reading Integrated Science.
2. Not read "Can You Keep A Secret?" by Sophie Kinsella first. Should study.
3. Maybe, if my mom's in the mood,or if we wake up early, hit the gym. (I never do this. I get in for free xD 'Cause I rarely go naman eh. But yeah. Sana. Or not. Whatever na.)

As of now, I am:
1. Uploading pics in Multiply
2. Going to finish reading the novel - it's nice ah! In fairness, I prefer it over the Shopaholic series, which I never finished.

BTW Last Friday was my sister's birthday! So we went to CPK and had dinner. At first I was really pissed off but in the end I just kept laughing :> :> Because of our inside joke we couldn't tell sorry >:)

Anyways I'm signing off at the moment. :)
ArtsWork ArtsWork ArtsWork :))
Wala lang. Really gonna miss it :>

xo~<3

Visit my multiply for more pictures. I've posted the ones during semiformal/prom day & our last day pics :>

And if you wonder why its public, it's because Nadine's gonna view it. haha :) Or else it would be for contacts only. :D

5.22.2009

HOW MORBID.
I mean, seriously, I'm so sad ArtsWork is over.
Like I've been having a waking-up early routine for the past three weeks, making friends and socializing and in the end, being all wacky and vain with tons of photos.
And seeing the Horacio De La Costa statue FIVE times a day.

I'm so not gonna get used to life without ArtsWork :<
I love you all, even if I didn't go to Greenbelt today :< Sudden change of plans.

I wonder when I'll see you guys again?
Waaaaah :( :( :(

I hate goodbyes.
Well, that's life.

It's so amazing how I enjoyed a lot for the past few days :> Taking pictures! Hahaha.
And they all liked my drawings :) Thank you, you're all talented as well.

And even if I didn't have my own mugshot :(, or I was pissed off sometimes (nobodyknows!) or things weren't that right at some point, the whole experience was REALLY fun.
I'm thankful I got in this.
AND NOT IN EUROPE.

If I did go there, I would probably have AH1N1 virus by now.
Now I would LOATHE my summer then. :))

xo~

PICTURES LATER.
There are lots.
We had a photoshoot yesterday eh.
I think twas an LSR camera. So I'm gonna steal some pics first, although I have my own.

5.17.2009

week two through! :)

[w/ erika, one of my good friends in ArtsWork]
[after our sabaw performance last Friday :)]

Sorry for not updating but I didn't have internet :[ I'll prolly post some pics at the end of this week.

Week two is over! Lotsa fun this week, plus we have dresscodes which were sorta fun :) This week was all about Storytelling and Maikling Kuwento, together with Costume Design (which I personally didn't like) and Set Design (wowness.) and others. Got lots of info and our output day (last Friday) was pretty fun haha. It was really sabaw but I kinda enjoyed it better than last week. I even was involved in one of our classmates' talent show (if you are absent, you'll have to showcase your talent) lol.

Last week! :)
I sure had some interesting 2 weeks.
Wishes for the best for the last week! :)

PS
Today we went to Glorietta to watch BFF. Nyak. Weird :O I don't watch Filipino movies but since I had to, well I kept laughing and binge eating Tater's Popcorn! I prefer the grape flavor. Yum :) And I bought a jumpsuit at The Ramp. It's violet yay :) I dunno if I can wear it well. I'm so not expressive when it comes to fashion. (BTW also bought a People Are People shirt which I will save. hahaha. sayang to wear eh ;D) Then we ate at World Chicken, delish :) Super stuffed.

Nice relaxing Sunday today. :)

xo~

PPS
I want to have a MOLESKINE! Damn.
Plus, I've finished reading Science Adventure. Yay! I'm now reading an English grammar book and an Integrated Science book. I have 3 weeks to study. :)

Kind of nervous for tomorrow. I still am, you know. EVERY DAY.
Will find a decent outfit to wear.
:)

5.10.2009

happy mothers' day.

Simple things are always the best. :)
with love from ABCkids.

5.08.2009

week one done! :)

Yeah um, sorry for not updating but, oh well I'm gonna update now :)

One week is finished! I'm supposed to be studying right now (review) but I am really tired I sleep every day I get home from Ateneo!

Today was our output day by applying all the things we've learned for the past few days - basic acting, improvisational acting, conceptualizing ideas, poetry in performances and etc. so we had to like, make a poem about any topic and then make a performance by combining it with other things like improv acting, singing, dancing or speech choir or something.

So yeah, yesterday we had to stay until 7 (because we watched "Sistema ni Propesor Tuko" which starred our theatre arts teacher - which was AWESOME and I can't stop laughing!!) to come up with the poem and it was really weird at first 'cause I couldn't like, talk :[ I was really shy but in the middle I was already talking :) lol so we were so sabaw we even asked Ms. Bellen to help us X) So she was like, "Prom" and so we made a poem about prom.

Disaster Prom >:) It came out of our heads at the last minute so awhile ago our performance was so sabaw :))

Guess what, we performed "A Night To Remember" and it was like, our leader just taught us the steps an hour or two before the performance x) Hahaha.

But I thought wrong 'cause the teachers really liked the performance because it was really light and something a lot of people can relate to :) But the two other groups were really creative too in coming up with their concepts :)

After that to treat myself I went w/ one of my new friends there to go to th Loyola Bookstore and bought myself an "I ♥ Ateneo" shirt (color white w/ the blue heart) - just because I want a remembrance from my ArtsWork experience :) and a yellow notebook :) Really cute, although I also like the blue shirt :] I can't decide. Anyways I bought it and I'm gonna use it for school practices and stuff x) LOL kapal noh :))

Took a nap this afternoon. I was probably tired from this morning's crammed but well done performance :>

===
My thoughts:

Well, I can say this workshop is really interactive (TRIVIA: It's the first arts workshop of Ateneo despite its existence for 150 years), and I still have NO IDEA why I got chosen I mean these people are hell really freakishly good! They're so talented and they're really good actors and writers and I'm like... what? I can't act! But it's nice to know that they respect you and everyone treats each other equally and they're all really friendly :] Although only a few are Chinese :> lolness. Anyways the workshops are pretty cool, can't wait for next week though it's about Stage Design & Costume Design :)) Can't wait! So, um, yeah and I'm happy I got to socialize with people and bit by bit I try to overcome my shyness because these people here are really confident and I'm like, super low self-esteemed (exage naman! just a bit unconfident like 45%) so yeah it is challenging too :)

2 more weeks :)

I wonder if I'll go to college there?
:)

I was thinking of taking up Information Design in their School of Humanities (where this workshop is from) 'cause it's kind of merged business management / art / advertisement / techie stuff so it looks interesting :) If not maybe Comm Tech Management :> That is if I get in Ateneo :)

Anyhoo, I'll be updating myself in Twitter regularly so check me out there na lang ;)

xo~♥

5.04.2009

mysterious monday

Well, it was...okay.
Like a shocker for me x) Hahaha.

No visual arts, just theatre arts & creative writing. in Filipino but I'm kinda excited 'cause I do need to explore more in other fields of art to be an all-around artist. Not that I want to, actually my imagination is letting me do some work right now. :)

Tomorrow we're gonna have acting workshops & stuff. Cool much? Hope I overcome my "shyness" (I'm quite shy lol) and come out of my shell. I did meet some new friends today, from Davao :] And from other schools in the Metro :)

I expect to have lotsa fun. :>

5.03.2009

scared

I haven't took out a pencil and paper and immersed my inner thoughts into creating a wonderful piece of art for months.

One question I often ask myself yet I could not answer by all means.

WHY?

xo~

Will update you on my workshop tomorrow :)

PS. No more traveling abroad :( Curse you SWINE FLU!

exploring the City of Pines

Trip Details

Date: April 29-May 2, 2009
Time: left at 7am, arrived 2pm [with breakfast included]
Company: went with maternal relatives
Destination: Baguio City
Places visited: Burnham Park, SM Baguio, Good Shepherd Convent, Tam-Awan Village, Hot Springs + Pool Resort [forgot the name], Baguio Buddha Temple, Abagao Street [palengke]

Day 1. Arrival, Burnham Park, SM Baguio.
I was really sleepy. I didn't sleep the last night lol. So it was a sleepy trip going there, then finally arrived at Raja Soliman Hotel (my relatives know the people who work there so it's like "feel at home") and ate lunch. And as Jean promised, the food is good :)

Cousin-kins at one of the rooms:

Then we went into our rooms, and headed off to Burnham Park. Actually we were all supposed to take a boat ride but the boats weren't really available, so me, Jean & Ahia Ericsson agreed to go biking.

As you know I'm not sporty, so I can't ride the mountain bike (two-wheeler) but my friend did teach me before...and so we rode the three-wheeler. Wow. My legs were hurting like hell. I didn't know whether it was because I couldn't carry my heavy 54kg body or it was my legs were too long for the bike :| Hahaha! It was for an hour! Cycling for an hour! So I switched bikes with Jean and fair enough it was because my legs couldn't fit in the other bike :)) I even saw my classmate there my gad it was embarassing that I was in a threewheeler haha. x)

Here are my cousins who were riding the boat:

And here we are with them after they rode (we were in the cycling area):

Then we ate at Rai Rai Ken in SM Baguio...which was freezing! Goodness! And I can conclude that binging during out of town trips is too typical. I ate 3 servings of rice when I only eat 1 serving at home lol. And since I'm acidic I get hungry easily during our trip ^__^

Day 2. Swimming, Abagao Palengke (pasalubong buying)
Breakfast, then went to some resort in Benguet to swim. passed by a hanging bridge which was bit creepy, then swam. My legs were hurting at this point. I couldn't sit well.

At the swimming pool:

I had fun, even if I cannot swim :)) (don't ask. phobia.)
And our lunch was...weird. I just had to try eating grilled eggplant with bagoong. Pretty good :) I like bagoong lol. But I don't really eat a lot of Pinoy food so that was a shocker :))

Then we went to the nearby palengke to buy some delicacies: Choco Flakes (yum!), Peanut Brittle (Romana's is yummy, so is Good Shepherd), Sagada Oranges, Strawberry Jam, plus a dreamcatcher! I've been looking all over and I found one yey :) 50 pesos, but I wasn't so contented about the craftwork.

Dinner.

Played Bingo but after 2 games we quit 'cause of sleepiness, also because we were watching my Grandfather's 70th b-day (1995, I was 2 years old then) and we kept laughing! x) I was soooo cheeky and chubby, and I saw my dad in the video - brings back some memories - and Jean was soooo cute! haha she was really chubby before eh, her cheeks were too much already :)) LOL to death x)

Day 3. Good Shepherd Convent, Tam-Awan Village, Baguio Buddha Temple, Abagao Palengke (MORE pasalubong buying)

Went to Good Shepherd right after breakfast, bought some more delicacies :) Peanut Brittle & Strawberry jam - SUGARFREE :) Also, Lengua , Sesame Brittle :)
Here's a fantastic view outside the store:

Headed to Tam-Awan Village, hiking! :) Tiring.
There was a portrait sketching booth there, and why the hell would I let people draw my face?
(Maybe in the future, I'd do it myself XD lolz!)
ANd the results weren't convincing at all. Except one of the artists there was REALLY good I was stunned. Grabe.
Well that place was artsy-ish. Reminded me of psychedelic art. And I miss drawing :(

In one of the art gallery/Ifugao cottage (it would be nice to live there - you can book for an overnight stay! xD)

Then we went to have lunch at 3pm haha. Wow late :]
Baguio Buddha Temple. Love the flowers in the temple.
Much better because of the cool air :)

And the Big Buddha is awesome :)

Gah. Am tired. Lemme finish.
So yeah, after that I went to palengke again and bought 2 more dream catchers - good quality now, then bought dream catcher cell charms at Tam-Awan :)

Now you ask, what's with the dream catcher addiction?
- No addiction :) I just find the design fascinating that's all. And the belief that it drives away bad dreams is coolness :> So I like them. And I couldn't find them anywhere else. Luckily I did :))

After dinner at Greenwich (others at Chowking) played some UNO Hearts & Old Maid. Hahaha. Fun :>
Me + sibs + cuz:

Day 4. Bye, BC.

So glad to be home :)

Will post the pix on Multi maybe tomorrow. Hahaha. :>
I'm sleepy-ish now.

the unruly life.

I take back what I stamped onto my head awhile ago : that I missed my relatives.

No, I didn't.
In fact, it's getting crazier here in the house. I guess I just have to like, stay put and get along with it. Besides, tomorrow I'm going to go out of here at the least, need some fresh air after the cold climate of Baguio. Tsss :|

Currently watching : One More Chance.
Yeah I'm pretty much becoming a movie buff these days. And it's not foreign, it's local. But I find it nice haha.

xo~ will update later.
Finally have internet in laptop! Three cheeers! ~

still alive

I feel like its forever since I last written. Gosh.

Typically it's either I lost connection or I went out of town.

Ironically, at this time, it's both :)

I didn't have internet so I have to bear watching tv. lol. And I went to Baguio for 4 days (April 29-May2) and duh, I didn't bring my internet connection pluys laptop with me. Speaking of laptops, I'm enduring the agony pof using my super low-tech PC because I have to ask my aunt to like, connect the router to the DSL modem because that stupid technician of PLDT wouldn't do so, he said it was "ruining the process of the modem" whatevs... I won't accept using my PC only.

Probably I'll post an entry (about Baguio) when the wi-fi reaches my laptop. Else, I'll be dead & gone. Although I am not really going to say I enjoyed the whole trip [I went w/ my maternal relatives] because of the commotions of the adults. Hahaha. But, yeah, if you ask me, next time I will not be sure of going again. I'd rather stay home.

Which is what I'll be doing for a month... stay home and NOT go to Europe...garrr...and attend the Ateneo Workshop...which I keep mentioning....

and it's TOMORROW.

I need some luck. A LOT. I have to start reviewing too. SERIOUS reviewing and I mean it a lot.
